The emergency services has been assisting with the flooding across the region  following the heavy rainfall that started yesterday (Monday, 24 September 2012).

Halsall builder Richard Swift from Narrow Lane, woke up this morning to find his house surrounded by water. He has spent the morning trying to release the blocked drains that keeps blocking up with debris washed up from the fields.

 Luckily he’s managed to keep the water out of his house so far.  The main road through Halsall Village outside Halsall garage remains flooded abd motorists advised to exercise caution and drive at a speed appropriate for the conditions.
