Flooded rat run ignored for weeks by council

    By COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTOR13th November 2019

Rotten Row continues to be closed off weeks after heavy rain flooded the popular rat run.

Bad weather over recent weeks has caused the notorious speedster slipway to be completely flooded at its lowest point but nobody has attended to fix the issue.

Numerous complaints to Sefton Council have gone ignored and frustrated residents nearby say they are worried they will feel the full effects of the flooding.

One said “This will definitely lead to subsidence and pot holes. The road can’t take much more of it and the water will weaken the ground underneath and our houses are so close by they will be effected.”
