Southport-based medical negligence and serious injury law firm, Fletchers Solicitors, has expanded its head office in response to a significant period of growth in the last 12 months.
The expansion, which is estimated to have cost in excess of £750,000, has seen Fletchers Solicitors take over another floor of Dukes House on Hoghton Street, Southport. Now the law firm occupies all three floors of the building, increasing its office space from 16,000 square feet to over 24,000 square feet.
Over the last 12 months, Fletchers Solicitors has experienced an influx in the number of medical negligence and personal injury cases it receives, and as a result it has allowed the firm to recruit an additional 120 members of staff. This has included the appointment of 20 senior lawyers, as well as a number of graduate and trainee solicitors. The growth has also meant the firm has been able to employ over 15 apprentices at the firm.
To celebrate the business’ success and mark the final stages of the expansion, Fletchers Solicitors held a launch party on Thursday 26 March to officially open the new floor. The event was attended by all of the partners and businesses that the firm works with, and guests were treated to a selection of refreshments that were provided by local companies.

“With all these new faces, it was clear that we needed to either move or acquire more space in our office to fit everyone in. Fortunately, the first floor in Dukes House had been unoccupied for a number of years, so it made perfect sense to purchase and renovate the available space.
“We are really pleased with how the renovation went and we’re proud to be able to own the entire building, as it’s a measure of our success over the years.
“The launch event was a fantastic way to help celebrate the firm’s recent achievements and a great way to get together with those who have helped us make the expansion possible and enabled us to accomplish everything we have so far.”
Fletchers Solicitors is predicting further growth over the coming year, with the creation of further jobs expected.
