Fire crews called to flat blaze Southport.
The emergency service were called to an address on Hawshead Street, Southport this morning to reports of a fire within a flat (Saturday 20 May).
Three appliances from Southport Community Fire Station are currently at the scene (11:15am).
Witnesses at the scene told our reporter that occupants in the address escaped the flat unharmed.
Emergency services remain at the scene whilst the incident is dealt with.
A section of Hawkshead street remains closed (Queens road end).
