Fireworks fired into traffic in Southport 

Merseyside Police were called to Botanic Gardens in Chuchtown Southport this evening after residents reported fireworks being fired at buses and cars along Bankfield Lane at around 6.30pm this evening , Sunday 30 October 2016).

A Bankfield resident said: “If you’re driving around the Botanic Gardens be careful! Some idiots shooting fireworks into the road”.

Another resident said: These idiots are have been firing rockets at cars and buses with no regard for anyone.”

Police drove around the park once then left, a gang of between 3-6 teenage males was seen running down Bankfield Lane in the direction of Crossens.
