Firepit Southport shows Fury v Wilder fight on the biggest screen

Southport fight fans won’t need to miss a minute of the action in the monumental clash between Tyson Fury and WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in Los Angeles this weekend.

Firepit Smokehouse & Sport Bar is offering customers a ringside seat as the Gypsy King takes on the unbeaten Americanat the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Fury and Wilder will go head to head from around 5am UK time, in the early hours of Sunday morning, and Firepit will be staying open so fans can see all the build-up and the title decider.

The US boxer, who has a lethal right hand and an impressive 40 wins and 39 knockouts to his name, is a serious favourite.

But supporters of Fury are tipping the controversial 6ft 9in Mancunian to give Wilder his toughest challenge and cause an upset so it’s going to be a not-to-miss night for anyone who loves the sport.

A 21,000 capacity crowd will watch it live, but millions will tune in worldwide and anyone heading to Southport’s Firepit will get a fantastic up-close view thanks to its huge 3m x 2m LED screen.

The bar has £10 and £15PP fight night packages which guarantee a seat in front of the big screen, and include food and drink served to tables so there’s no need for fans to take their eyes off the ring.

Firepit general manager Jamie Rae says live boxing is always a big hit with customers so they’re expecting a knockout night.

“We’ve already had the Bellew and Conor McGregor fightswhich were both capacity, so we’ve got a special licence again to stay open late for Fury v Wilder and the atmosphere’s going to be amazing.”
