Firefighters Called Out After Plastic Knife Left On Cooker Hob At Sheltered Accommodation, Formby

Firefighters were called out after a plastic knife was left on a cooker hob which was still on.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 5.37pm on Sunday, February 3, to Freshfield Road, Formby.

The handle of one plastic knife was damaged by fire at the sheltered accommodation.

The fire was out when firefighters arrived.

Smoke alarms activated in the ground floor flat.

An appliance from Crosby Community Fire Station and one from Bootle and Netherton Community Fire Station attended the call-out.
