The emergency services were called to the Formby bypass at 4pm, Monday 1 June 2015.
A witness reported that a young lady driving a blue Renault Clio hit the curb and spun the car finishing facing across the bypass.
The car was unable to drive and was recovered by FMC.
The carriageway reopened at around 5.15pm.
