Emergency services search beach for possible missing person

Man located near to shoreline and taken to safety

The emergency services are currently searching an area of Southport beach, approximately 1 mile north of the pier, Tuesday 30 January.

The emergency services received a call at 1.50pm saying that possible person in difficulty. – searches are ongoing.
