Eastbank Street overgrown roundabout a ‘considerable risk’

The Eastbank Street roundabout that is overgrown with shrubs and weeds has been branded an accident waiting to happen.

People living in the area of town say that plants on the roundabout have not been cut back all year, even the paid advert signs are barely visible.

Residents have complained to Sefton Council but say they have been ignored.

    One concerned resident said:

“It’s only a matter of time before an accident happens due to the lack of visibility with the overgrown weeds”

“This island has been in this dreadful state for three months. Nothing is being done about it.”

“Does this give a good impression to visitors to the town?”

Sefton Council have declined to comment on the issue.
