Dunes Splashworld 3G football pitches to open next week

New 3G football pitches will open up in Southport next week.

Sefton Council is behind the project to build the pitches outside Dunes Splashworld on Esplanade.

Bookings are already open for March, with the pitches available for football and any other activity that would normally played on grass.

The 3G pitches are made with artificial grass to ensure that they can be used all year round and in any weather.

The four pitches will be completely enclosed and will come complete with eight metre high floodlights so games will be fully lit and can be played without interruptions.
