Drunk rail passenger ignored by guard

Rail guards have been slammed for letting a drunk man continue to booze while travelling from Southport.

A worried commuter reported the incident to Merseyrail this afternoon after watching a guard ignore a man who was unsteady on his feet and drinking on the afternoon service from Southport to Liverpool.

The passenger later reported the incident to OTS saying “aren’t merseyrail trying to say how they are needed for safety?”
