    Drunk driving woman causes carnage in Southport 

    Resident, Michael Appleton said:  “My car was parked on Duke Street last night when a drunk driver smashed into the rear end.

    “This happened at around 2am (Saturday 6 August), the female driver failed to stop and collided with a taxi further up the road. The passengers were injured (above) and had to be taken to hospital.”

    “The woman was arrested at the scene.”

    Emma Flynn was also in the back of the taxi, She said: “I would to thank all those that came out their houses to help us. We are both ok and hope the taxi driver is too.”
