‘Drunk’ driver smashed into a lamppost in Southport – but still staggered away unhurt.
A ‘drunk’ driver careered off the Lord Street roundabout and crashed head into lamppost – but still staggered away unhurt, Wednesday 20 October 2016.
A witness described the noise being like ‘gunfire’ when the Citroen C4 head on int0 the lamppost.
Police arrived at the scene within the minutes and arrested the man who was clearly under the influence.
Fortunately no one else was hurt and the man was arrested and taken to a police station in somewhere in liverpool for further questioning.
