Drug addicts scatter dangerous sharps after shooting up

10th June 2020

Drug needles have been left scattered across a busy residential road in Southport.

Concerned residents on Leyland Road in the resort were shocked this evening after discovering used hypodermic needles scattered across the pavement.

The needles have been capped to cover the sharp end however there are concerns that a small child or dog could potentially pick up the needle and become seriously injured.

The needles have been left in their place until the council can remove them safely and all residents are advised not to pick them up if they come across them.
