WATCH: Drone captures Steeplejacks climbing 150 feet above Southport

Steeplejacks climbed 150 feet high up a Southport church to carry out repair works on a Lord Street spire.

Steeple jacks this week were working 150 feet above Lord Street on St George’s Reformed Church. They were checking over the steeple after recent reports of debris falling.

The experienced workmen from ‘Warbutons’ a Peston based company didn’t appear to be phased by the height they were working at or the prospect of climbing back down the ladder to get back on level ground.

The workmen even offered our reporter the chance to make the climb which he declined on this occasion.
