Driver left shaken after roadside police interrogation

Police have pulled over a driver on Sussex Road this afternoon In a random stop check which left the male driver scared of being arrested.

The white VW Golf was pulled over after officers suspected the vehicle had been recently used and seen during a series of reported attempted burglaries in the Ainsdale area of Southport.

However, despite facing a terrifying series of questions, the driver was eventually allowed to leave when officers realised they were dealing with a case of mistaken identity.

The driver was sent on his way but was visibly shaken by the ordeal
