Driver escapes serious injuries following a crash with a bus in Southport 

Emergency services were called to Waterloo Road, Southport at around 11.00am to reports of a bus and a car colliding at the junction of Lynton Drive.

All the passengers on the bus and the driver appeared to be uninjured. The driver of the car escaped serious injuries but was transferred to Southport DGH.
