Following injuries sustained last night by Liam Martin and John Paul Kissock, the club is now in a position to confirm the initial diagnosis for both players.

Liam Martin has suffered a fractured patella and will undergo further tests in the next few days to fully evaluate his condition. Despite concerns last night, it is not believed that Liam has suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament, however, tests will reveal if Liam has any other ligament damage.

John Paul Kissock has a fractured ankle and will wear a fracture boot in the short-term.

The club will support Liam and John Paul through their respective injuries. Everyone at Southport FC wishes Liam and John Paul well, and hopes to see them back on the field as soon as possible. The club is not in a position at this point to place a timeframe on their return.
