Rescue dog from hot car

This dog was rescued from a hot car in Ormskirk (Monday 5 September). He was locked in a vehicle and left unattended for over an hour without water and an open window.

Luckily a member of the public contacted the owner of the car and retrieved the keys before we would have had to break the window!

A police spokesperson said: “The dog was given water and well looked after until the owner returned. Please be responsible of your pets and make sure they are safe in the summer heat.”
