Doctors want you to ‘self care’ before they need to

22nd October 2017

Health chiefs are stressing the importance of checking before making a doctors appointment during Self Care week next month.

Self–Care Week is an annual awareness campaign that aims to raise awareness of how some common ailments do not require antibiotics, and that visiting apharmacy for advice and treatment is often your best bet.

The campaign’s focus this year is ‘Self–care for life – be healthy this winter.’ Self–care is simply about taking care of yourself. It means keeping fit, healthy and active, as well as knowing how to take ailments.
