Disabled residents and staff to mark World Parkinson’s Day

STAFF at a respite holiday centre for the disabled and their carers in Southport are marking World Parkinson’s Day this month with an offer of help.

Stephanie Stone, one of the team at the Revitalise Sandpipers centre on the Marine Lake, revealed that there are more than 145,000 people estimated to be living with Parkinson’s in the UK alone.

Stephanie said: “We understand that living with Parkinson’s can present daily challenges both for the people affected and for those they hold close. We also understand that having the reassurance of know- ing that help is at hand really can make all the difference.
