The British Musical Fireworks Championship 2025 returns to Victoria Park on 27th–28th September, and this year, it’s bigger than ever.

Not everyone has welcomed the return of the annual show however with pet owners saying they ‘hope the event is rained off’ to protect their dogs and cats who do not like the noises associated with pyrotechnics.
While the show takes place safely away from the vast amounts of residential areas of Southport, the explosions can be heard for miles around causing some animal lovers to criticise hosting an event like the Fireworks Championship.
