A nortotoisly dangerous stretch of road has once again claimed another victim.
Three cars have collided at he junction of Hawkshead Street and Zealand Street this afternoon, with emergency services rushing to the scene (Monday 27 November 2017).
It now means that there have been at least six recorded crashes on the narrow stretch of residential road running through Sussex Road in the last year alone.
Although the speed limit is 20mph, many drivers exceed this and speed to excess causing dangerous situations.
This afternoon two hatchbacks careered our of control on hawks head Street and fire crews had To cut a driver free from the wreckage.
Police have temporarily closed off the road while an investigation is underway.
