A cyclist has been seriously injured after being struck by a car near to Scarisbrick Hall School this evening.
Police and paramedics have been called to the scene near to the school in Scarisbrick after a cyclist was knocked down on the bend by an over zealous motorist.
The cyclist is thought to be conscious and responding to instructions by first aiders.
Police are now asking for any witnesses to call 101 immediately
