A Possible Fraud

A Sefton resident decided to invest in a Cryptocurrencies account. He deposited a considerable amount of money over a period of months. Unfortunately his account manager was suddenly unavailable the reason given was “personal problems” and his account suffered a sudden loss equivalent to the actual investment he had made.

He was contacted by a new account manager who suggested that the only way to recover the losses he had experienced was to invest more funds, which he did. There has been no further contact from the company.

It has been discovered that the company is not regulated in the UK but is owned by a Bulgarian holding company.
