Burglaries

Between the 7^th July and the 21^st July 2019 burglaries or attempted burglaries have taken place in the following locations:

Stamford Road (garage), Balfour Road (garage), Glenrose Terrace, Ripon Close, Folkestone Road (2), Hartwood Road (garage), Grove Terrace (shed), Belmont Street (sheds), Claremont Road, Railway Terrace (shed).

News from your Community Policing Team

1)      Police have arrested a 48 year old local male in relation to a burglary and an attempted burglary on the Kew estate in Southport. He has also been arrested in relation to the theft of a television from Tesco at Kew. The investigation into these matters is continuing at this time.

2)      Court result: Leon Shaw aged 45 of Scarisbrick Avenue, Southport and Steven Lloyd aged 43 of Arlington Close in London have been sentenced following their arrest for a burglary at licensed premises in Southport town centre. Both males appeared at Liverpool Crown Court and received custodial sentences of 20 months each.
