Once again I should like to extend my appreciations to all constituents whose questions I collectively answered in tandem regarding progress made to procure a ruby red carriageway for Lord Street, Southport in the future, the very economy and recent Tourism Rating graded for Southport as raised by Alan Pearmain, Ann Pearman, Mary Pointon, David Head representing “Southport Civic Society”, James Banfield and Jacky Bliss.

Having also now clarified a recent fictitious claim cast by the local “Stewards of Southport”- the “Southport BID” regarding the process and official consultation tasked to them pertaining to the resurfacing of our beloved local high street, which has been reported to myself to be found wanting on their part by numerous constituents and members of the local Business Community, I am now recommending the Townspeople of Southport seek formal independence from this Organisation at the soonest available opportunity. I can therefore now reveal via the Sefton Tourism Department that “Anything taking place within the Town Centre would require BID approval” which explains why as a historic Seaside Resort Town we now stand to face losing a central piece of our signature identity.

I would urge the Local Community to keep this matter borne in mind moving forwards as a token matter of how best our Local Community should be served hence with and how future such categorical errors can be prevented from ever occurring again henceforth. Onwards & Upwards!
