Councillor continues campaign to restore code of conduct across classic resort

31st January 2018

Councillor David Barton, a leading campaigner for the restoration and regeneration of Southport Town Centre, has recently spoken on the potential detrimental impact of the Liberal Democrats’ ongoing media onslaught on the Local Authority at all echelons to the Classic Resort of Southport, as part of his ongoing crusade on behalf of all his constituents to achieve a wider scale level of professionalism espoused by all members of the Local Authority.

Councillor Barton who adopts a strict modus operandi of operating on a mutual basis of respect and sincerity, has attributed a collective of his successes within and across the local community, as evidenced through his highly successful “Community Conservation Campaign” that has now included up to an 80% full or thorough restoration of the acclaimed Lord Street Verandahs as of 2018. He is now seeking additional action to be taken by Sefton Council to eradicate this poisonous means of working which he believes is actually a grave threat to Southport’s future in many ways ranging from direct support and services to all seven Southport districts by Sefton Council, to lost investment opportunities by both incumbent and prospective High- Quality Investors alike.

He has particularly drawn attention to the Opposition’s persistently salacious attacks on Sefton Council at all levels which has included Senior Council Officers and members of the Chief Executive Team being unfairly targeted alongside personal attacks on leading Council Leaders which could ultimately reverse the vast accomplishments to date, notably continuing investment into the local economy and environment achieved by both the Public and Private Sectors.
