Council workers beg to be sent home over virus fears

Angry council staff are demanding their managers send them home to stay safe from the Coronavirus.

Workers at the Southport One Stop Shop have contacted OTS News to say they are begging top brass to shut down the building sooner rather than later as cases escalate.

One staff member who didn’t want to be named said “I have a wife and kids at home who are vulnerable and if I get Coronavirus at work when dealing the public I’m putting my family at risk.

“I’m begging our boss to send us home.”
