Council wardens ticket key workers fitting PPE safety gear

4th June 2020

Key workers, working in the near empty Ormskirk town centre fitting Perspex safety screens at the Moor Lane Bagel Deli, were given a parking ticket by a traffic warden today.

The stunned and shocked workers told OTS News: “Are we not trying to make the town’s shops safe so they can open?

”Only a hand full of shops are currently trading, while others are kitting up ready to re-open safely.

“The same warden also booked a charity shop van, outside the charity shop. Again, the charity shop staff were trying to prepare the shop for trade.

“Onlookers were shocked at the wardens actions and vocally challenged him.

“I know we are living in difficult times but this is ridiculous.”
