Corbyn to visit Southport on August 18th as huge crowds expected

27th July 2017

Huge crowds of Labour supporters are expected to welcome Leader Jeremy Corbyn to town next month.

The labour leader, whose divisive attitude often splits members of his own party, will be provisionally earmarked for a flying visit to Sefton Central ward on August 18 but is rumoured to make a quick detour to Southport to meet up with members of the local Labour party there.

If he does turn up, he’s expected to draw more crowds than Labour favourite Steve Rotheram or ex Lib Dam leader Tim Farron who are already familiar faces in Southport.

MP Bill Esterston said: “We have a provisional date of August 18th for Jeremy Corbyn’s visit to Sefton.

“More details will follow”
