Clocks go back on Sunday
Don’t forget to turn the clocks back
It’s that time of year again – the clocks go back on Sunday marking the end of British Summer Time for 2014.
The end of British Summer Time is at 2.00am on Sunday (26 October), clocks need to go back an hour to 1.00am to revert to Greenwich Mean Time.
The result will be that darkness arrives sooner in the evenings but we gain an extra hour of daylight in the mornings.
The turning back of the clocks is a source of annual controversy in the UK.
BST traditionally starts on the last Sunday in March and ends on the final Sunday in October.
Clocks will go forward again on Sunday 29 March 2015
