Christmas Idea – Be A Rally Co-driver

Ormskirk and District Motor Club (ODMC), the most active enthusiast’s motor club in the area, has announced details of a special training course taking place in January that is ideal for novices wanting to get into Motorsport. At just £35, the course, which is being subsidised by the club, is a fantastic way to get into the sport and economical as a Christmas gift for budding rally entrants in the area.

Organised by the club and delivered by international graded rally co-drivers, the three-hour Introduction to Co-driving course will be based at the club’s Ormskirk HQ on Sunday 13th January, 2019 and include a light lunch and refreshment breaks. In line with national regulations, enthusiasts as young as 14 years of age can take part. There is no upper age limit.

The course gives a basic understanding of a co-driver’s role, including the paperwork throughout an event. Adding an element of real involvement, skills learned in the lecture room will be practised in a rally car on a short noncompetitive trial alongside a licensed rally driver.

Full details and a booking form are available on the official ODMC web site at www.ormskirkanddistrictmotorclub.co.uk
