A group of charity fundraisers from Southport is inviting people to a cheese, wine and Call My Bluff evening to raise funds for a local cancer charity.

During the event organised by the Southport Committee of North West Cancer Research Fund (NWCRF) on 19th October guests will be able to sample a variety of cheese and wine. Guests will also be able to show off their language prowess by taking part in the popular game show, and also try their hand at the raffle.

Olive Cutts, Chair of Southport Committee, said: “We are inviting people to join us at this event which we hope will raise vital funds for the charity. It’s an opportunity to socialise over delicious cheeses and complimenting wines, and have a laugh while we test our knowledge of obscure words.“

Anne Jackson, Chief Executive of NWCRF, said: “Our committees are the backbone of the charity and fundraise tirelessly. We are so grateful to the Southport branch for donating their time and effort to organise this event. I know it will be a fun-filled evening for all.“
