Celebrating 40 years of Merseyside Police

Life behind the badge

Merseyside Police is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion the force is holding a fun filled open day at the Museum of Liverpool on Saturday 28th June.

Throughout the day, you can meet the Dog and Mounted Sections and have the opportunity to take part in CSI workshops as well as the chance to try on uniform from years gone by.

Visitors can meet the Firearms team, explore their vehicles and have a go on a firearms simulator.

Other attractions include; the regional Marine and Underwater Unit, police vehicles past and present and a fly by from the police helicopter*.

The event promises to be enjoyable for people of all ages and gives officers the opportunity to engage with local people, giving them an insight into the work that the force does.

Doors open at 10am until 5pm. Entrance is free.
