CCTV operatives found working illegally
Unlicensed directors and CCTV operatives were found working illegally on Monday 28th January 2013 when Security Industry Authority investigators, acting on intelligence, targeted several CCTV businesses operating in the NorthWest, including Southport.
The SIA will continue with their line of enquiries regarding all the offences found, which may result in prosecutions. SIA Head of Investigation, Neil Diamond said: “Operation Corvus was unusual as we targeted businesses and their employees. I am disappointed that we found such high levels of unlicensed personnel, which is unacceptable.
“Security staff can help to maintain public safety in our towns and cities. We need operatives and those deploying them to be trained, professional and SIA-licensed. Illegal working will not be tolerated.”
