Care home plan could spark crimewave fear residents

Furious residents of an upmarket road in Churchtown say they are disgusted after plans were submitted to open up a care home.

Plans have been submitted to change a house on Churchgate into a care home for runaway trouble teens.

The New Horizons group want to change the use of 90 Churchgate from a residential house to a residential care home to care for 10 to 17 year olds.

New Horizons Ltd specialises in care for the most vulnerable young people in today’s society. They deliver an individual package of care to young people from a wide range of backgrounds.

Each New Horizons (NW) Ltd home acts as a home from home were, social, emotional and moral needs are met by high levels of dedicated and highly trained staff.

All staff use their high levels of experience to work and empower young people, thus enabling them to make positive changes, toachieve the very best outcome in life.

The home will have a maximum of 4 young people aged from 10 – 17 years of age, of mixed sex.
