Care group’s arrival in Southport will create 200 jobs

Kare Plus, one of the UK’s fastest growing healthcare providers, has secured office premises in Southport, bringing 200 job vacancies to the town.

Kare Plus is one of the largest providers of high quality care and support services for private healthcare settings including; hospitals, nursing homes and local councils. It is also a nursing recruitment specialist, providing health care staff to a range of organisations across the UK.

The new 1,400 sq ft offices, located at 31-33 Hoghton Street in the heart of Southport, will provide space to offer training, recruitment services and administration of carers in the community.

The 200 job vacancies will be split into two areas, creating roles in both residential home care and the private sector. The company aims to supply 2,000 hours of care by the end of 2017.

Managing Director of the Southport and Blackpool branches, Jo Boardman, said: “Kare Plus is renowned for being the caring company and that status is at the heart of everything we do, whether it’s training staff, liaising with key partners or ensuring residents in the community are supported the way we would want to be cared for ourselves.

“We saw Southport as having huge potential because there are very few care providers in the area able to offer this level of service all under one roof.

Jo added: “Armed with premises in a high-footfall area, we are in a strong position to future-proof the company’s infrastructure and we are looking forward to future growth.”

The commercial property team at Birchall Blackburn Law advised on the lease of office premises. The property agent was Graham Bowling of Fitton’s Estate Agents.

Tony Coates, partner and head of commercial property at BB Law, said: “This lease required a quick turnaround and we are proud to have delivered on all levels. It’s pleasing to see such an integrated service launch in Southport and the new premises will allow Kare Plus to continue to develop and grow within the care service sector.

“Southport benefits from a healthy commercial property market. We offer key support for local businesses to grow due to our long-established expertise in this area and it’s clear that there is a real demand for this type of legal provision.”

Birchall Blackburn Law has offices in Churchtown and a further six across the North West. It employs over 310 people and specialises in commercial property, elderly client services and wills and probate, trusts and criminal law.
