Hundreds of cars have swarmed the roads around Southport beach today as thousands of people flock to the resort to enjoy the sunshine, Wednesday 20 May 2020.
Ice cream and chip shops have queues sneaking around the town as lockdown and social distancing rules have been completely ignored.
Police have been patrolling the area but the sheer volume of cars has quickly become an overwhelming situation.
Many have even gone as far as to ignore warnings over mud flats and tides and are likely to have their cars stuck.
