The emergency services were called to junction of Portland Street and Talbot Street following 999 call this afternoon, Saturday 19th September 2015.
The collision happened at around 2:15pm, a member of the public at the scene said:
“The occupants managed to free themselves from the cars unaided”.
“The Peugeot that collided with the wall started smoking and then caught fire.”
“Two fire crews arrived around ten minutes after the collision and put immediately put fire out and made the scene safe”.
“Ambulance crews treated the injured at the scene before transferring them hospital”.
Two Fire crews from Southport Community Fire Station attended the scene.
