My name is Natalie Hible, an ex pupil of Stanley High School and KGV College and currently studying Primary Education at Edge Hill University. A lot of people may know me as ‘Natalie the gymnastics coach’ from Marshside Gymnastics Club.
On 17th August 2013 myself and a group of others are flying to Tanzania for an amazing charity called Childreach International. I need to raise a total of £2450 (we hope to raise £20,000 as a university group) and this money will go towards supporting children in relation to healthcare, education and an overall improved lifestyle. As a trainee teacher at Edge Hill University, delivering a high quality education is obviously very important and I will have the opportunity to work and teach in a local school and see the work my fundraising will support. After being inspired and motivated by the children of Tanzania, we are beginning a challenge of a lifetime – CLIMBING MT. KILIMANJARO!
This will involve a 6 day trek of the roof of Africa with many challenges that will involve; gruelling treks, frightening heights, altitude sickness and general pain! Strangely, I’m VERY excited!
To raise this significant amount of money, I am organising many fundraising events! As a group of four, we have planned and carried out a 90s disco at Edge Hill University, held a cake sale and a raffle – which all proved very popular! I am also in discussion with Stanley High School about a fundraising day in March, they have been fantastic and would like to thank them for their support so far. My next idea is to carry out 2450 of ‘something’ – maybe star jumps? Any ideas are welcome!
If anybody would like to sponsor me and help an absolutely fantastic charity I would be so very grateful! https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/nataliehible1
Furthermore, if any local business would be interested in supporting me, for example, donating prizes for raffles/tombolas – that would be fantastic!
Thank you for your time!
