Can Victoria Park Caravan Park cope with rain?

    Letter to the editor

I am by no means an expert in ground works etc…. but is there something that was missed out at the extended caravan park – the extension that was built on the old waterlogged archery course area?

The area was flooded and closed to caravans over the weekend, but the flood water from the park was flowing down from the field and on to the public footpath leading down to the children’s play area in the adjoining park making it impassable for the public as the water was so deep.

This area is below sea level and has always been prone to flooding – are there any facilities to drain water away on the site?

The ground keeper at Victoria park said that this is going to be a problem in the future!
