Byng House call in the army!

Byng House in Southport, a hotel owned by the Royal British Legion, is holding its annual Summer Fayre on Saturday July 22 (1-4pm).

The break centre, located opposite the pier on the town’s Promenade, provides free holidays to both veterans and serving Armed Forces personnel, as well as their families and carers.

Among the highlights on July 22 will be a display of military vehicles and the event is open to all members of the public. In addition to the display, there will also be stalls, games, refreshments, entertainment and a giant inflatable.

It’s also a chance to find out more about the work of the Royal British Legion, look around the hotel and see how the charity is spending YOUR Poppy Appeal donations.

Manager Sarah Curry said: “Byng House is a great place to get away from it all and relax. We offer nightly entertainment for our guests, a coach tour three times a week to local places of interest, and evening outings to a local British Legion Club.”

The hotel has 36 en-suite guest bedrooms, communal areas, a licensed bar, games room, conservatory, library and spa bathroom, as well as extensive gardens.
