Burglar caught in the act in Southport 

A 47 year old man has been arrested for attempted burglary in Southport this morning (Thursday 6 April 2017) after being caught in the act by an alert homeowner.

The man was arrested at the scene and taken to police station in Liverpool for further questioning.
