UPDATE
Following a burglary at a public house in Southport, Police have charged 2 males with burglary and possession of a bladed article. The males are: Leon Shaw aged 45 of Scarisbrick Avenue, Southport and Steven Lloyd aged 43 of Arlington Close Lewisham.
Bungling burglars arrested inside Southport bar
Two local Southport men are in custody this morning after being arrested at the scene of a burglary at Enelles Glasshouse bar on Lord Street, Tuesday 11 June 2019.
Patrols responded to a 999 call in the early hours of this morning and detained and arrested the offenders at the scene.
Police took the men to a police station in Liverpool for further questioning.
The bar and outside area remains a crime scene at this time while investigations continue.
