Bumper turnout for New Directions Southport north hub Christmas party

28th December 2018

There was an excellent turnout when the North Hub on Mornington Road in Southport held its annual Christmas party.

Around 70 people who attend the centre and staff members were at the get-together of the day service which is run by Sefton’s leading adult social care provider, New Directions.

This was a bumper gathering of people associated with the centre which provides local residents with support needs with a varied programme of activities and events.

There were plenty of eye-catching yuletide jumpers on show at the party, as everyone enjoyed a festive buffet, a quiz and a raffle before joining in the karaoke, throwing some shapes on the dance floor and partying the evening away.

North Hub Service Manager, Paula Scott, commented: “Looking back we’ve had some really good Christmas parties in the past, but this year’s celebration was something a bit different.

“Rather than booking an outside venue we decided to hold the event here at the centre and that worked out really well – it was more informal and made for a really lovely atmosphere throughout the evening.

“We were delighted that so many people who attend the service were there to enjoy the event, which everyone agreed was a really great way to mark the festive season,” added Paula.
