A pair of builders have been hospitalised after a wall collapsed inside a block of flats on Albert Road yesterday (Sat 8 Jan).
Paramedics and fire crews attended the site on Albert Road at approximately 3pm following reports of the collapse.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said that an internal wall had collapsed during refurbishment work.
The pair were then taken to hospital by ambulance.
The flats were fully evacuated and a structural assessment of the building remains underway.
