Builder’s Lord Street blunder leaves lives at risk

Dangerous veranda glass is hanging over shoppers on Lord Street, Southport, thanks to lazy builders.

The life endangering glass was cracked after builders took down scaffolding above the former Cafe Parisienne building.

Workers failed to make the site safe and now shoppers are being warned to avoid walking under it in case it falls down, which could be fatal.

The pavement has also been left in a dirty mess and hasn’t been cleaned by contractors after they left.
