A broken down train on the Merseyrail network is causing major disruption on the Northern Line this morning.
Services from Southport to Hunts Cross are currently terminating at Liverpool Central.
The broken down train is currently Stranded at Aigburth Station.
National Rail said: “A broken down train at Aigburth means that trains are currently suspended between Liverpool Central and Hunts Cross. Some services between Southport and Hunts Cross have been cancelled throughout.
“Disruption is expected until 08:00.”
